Individual and family therapy can help to resolve issues that prevent people from feeling their best, leading to improvement in their quality of life.  Sessions are 50 minutes in length and may involve such evidence-based approaches as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment focused therapy, family systems therapy, parenting skills training and several other modalities.  The client is always involved in determining the type of therapy they receive.

When a parent has been separated or alienated from his or her child, reunification therapy can help to re-establish a healthy, positive and trusting relationship, as well as lead to regular contact or increased parenting time.   Reintegration and reunification therapy are terms that are both used to describe a highly structured and specialized way of developing healthy attachment between parent and child- always in a safe, supportive environment that is mindful of the child's emotional readiness.

Reintegration therapy is important for many reasons.  Studies have consistently found that children separated or alienated from a parent are at higher risk of such emotional difficulties as:  low self esteem, self-hatred, poor impulse control, emotional constriction, gender identity problems, poor reality testing, enmeshment, aggression, and disregard for social norms and authority.

Please be aware that reintegration therapy is considered a "specialized service", and is not covered by insurance companies we contract with.
