My experience as a licensed psychotherapist spans over 30 years, working extensively with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. After receiving my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in Chicago, IL, I began my career as a therapist and program coordinator at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital. I practiced under the direct supervision of psychiatrist and author, Derek Miller, and alongside renowned Chicago area clinicians such as William Pinsof, Barry Carlton and Adaline Starr.
I moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1993 and have spent over 24 years working at Mental Health Partners as a psychotherapist, program director and group therapy coordinator. In 2005, I founded The Family Institute in Arvada, CO, providing a variety of counseling services to the Denver metro area.
My clients often comment that they like my caring, compassionate and supportive style- as well as my ability to offer effective solutions. They know that I genuinely care about them, and believe in their capacity to change and live the life they want to live.
